WORD OF HOPE MINISTRIES – OUR CHARITIES

WORD OF HOPE MINISTRIES (WOHM) is a Christian Non-Denominational, Non-Governmental, Non-Profit humanitarian organization founded by Ps. Late Nadava Mani Rao, a servant of God who carried a deep burden to reach the broken, the rejected, and the forgotten souls of India with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. What began as a small church-based makeshift orphanage has now blossomed into a multi-dimensional movement of hope, healing, and restoration. With unwavering faith, WOHM continues to touch the lives of orphans, poor families, widows, the elderly, leprosy-affected citizens, HIV/AIDS patients, and countless individuals crushed by poverty, sickness, and despair. Every charitable initiative we undertake carries one mission—to demonstrate the heart of Christ to those who are suffering.

From its earliest days, WOHM was established to show God’s unconditional love to hurting children, struggling youth, and vulnerable families. Today, the organization has grown into a beacon of compassion, providing orphan care, education, nutrition, medical relief, elderly care, widows’ support, leprosy rehabilitation, emergency and disaster assistance, hunger relief, and various community upliftment programs. Through every act of service, the church remains at the center as a spiritual refuge and a family support system for marginalized communities.

Every year, WOHM brings the joy of Christ’s birth to thousands of underprivileged children, families, widows, and homeless individuals. Christmas becomes a season of hope for the forgotten—where new clothes, toys, food hampers, blankets, and special meals are distributed in slums, orphanages, leprosy colonies, and tribal villages. Through worship, prayers, and the message of Christ’s love, many experience joy and dignity that they seldom receive throughout the year. This outreach reminds the poor that they are not forgotten by God.

Through our child sponsorship program, individuals can take the hand of a needy child and help reshape their future. These vulnerable children—many of them orphans or from broken homes—receive education, nutritious meals, clothing, healthcare, and spiritual formation. Sponsoring a child not only provides daily necessities but also restores hope, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Over the years, WOHM has seen sponsored children rise above poverty, excel in academics, and build meaningful futures rooted in the love of Jesus.

“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.” – Psalm 82:3

At Hope Children Home, we lovingly care for 30 orphan and semi-orphan children, providing them with a safe home, nutrition, clothing, medical help, education, emotional support, and Christian parenting. Each child is nurtured with dignity, moral values, and encouragement to build a strong and bright future. Alongside the children, WOHM also shelters 30 elderly men and women, offering them compassionate care, security, and love in a Christian environment. Many who once felt abandoned now find peace, fellowship, and a family that cherishes them.

“Freely you have received, freely give.” – Matthew 10:8

WOHM regularly organizes free medical camps in slums, rural villages, tribal areas, and poor communities where healthcare is limited or unaffordable. Volunteer doctors and nurses offer check-ups, medicines, vaccinations, dental care, hygiene education, and referrals. These camps save lives, prevent disease, and bring comfort to those who suffer silently due to poverty. Through these medical outreaches, we demonstrate the healing love of Christ in a very tangible way.

During floods, storms, epidemics, fires, and other crises, WOHM is among the first to respond with aid. We distribute food, water, blankets, clothing, hygiene kits, medicines, tarpaulins, and other emergency supplies. We also support families in rebuilding their homes and lives after disasters. Our teams work tirelessly to bring hope to those who have lost everything, assuring them that God still cares and help has arrived.

“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.” – Proverbs 22:9

WOHM feeds hundreds of homeless individuals, street dwellers, rag-pickers, scavengers, and daily wage workers living under flyovers, in railway stations, bus stops, and slums. We serve cooked meals, fruits, and clean drinking water. In winter, we distribute blankets and warm clothing to protect them from the cold. Many hear the Gospel and receive prayer, discovering dignity, hope, and the love of Jesus through these acts of compassion.

“Honor widows that are widows indeed.” – 1 Timothy 5:3

WOHM cares for 110 widows, many of whom have no family or financial support. We provide monthly groceries, clothing during festivals, medical assistance, and spiritual encouragement. Our goal is to restore their dignity and rebuild their lives by offering emotional and physical support. Each widow is treated as a beloved mother, valued and honored in Christ.

“Then Jesus, moved with compassion, touched him and said, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’” – Mark 1:41

We serve 60 families affected by leprosy in Karunapuram, Warangal District. These precious individuals often live as outcasts due to stigma. WOHM provides monthly dry rations, clothing, bedding, hygiene supplies, and access to medical care. Beyond physical needs, we give them spiritual support, respect, and the assurance that they are loved by God and valued by their community. Through this program, many have found new hope and confidence.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!

WOHM’s charitable works stand as a living testimony of Christ’s compassion for the poor, the broken, and the forgotten. Every life touched, every tear wiped, every meal served, every child educated, and every sick person cared for is an offering to the Lord. We believe that serving humanity is worship unto God, and through these charities, we continue to build His Kingdom on earth.
